Get Kids to Organize Their Kid Dresser

The kid’s dresser isn’t just a beautiful accent piece of childrens bedroom furniture. It serves a purpose – organization. Are you tired of picking up those socks and cleaning after those shirts? Well, don’t do all the hard work yourself. Lighten up the load by enlisting your kids to do the job. It is better to teach kids how to organize while they were young. This instills a sense of accomplishment in them if they are able to finish the task. Teaching them to organize now may probably help them mold into better persons when they grow old. So, start teaching this discipline and have your kids organize their dressers.
Kid dressers are typically made with several drawers. Assign drawers for a specific type of clothing so that things don’t mix up. One drawer should be allocated for socks, another for shorts and the other for jackets. Get your kids involve by having him or her choose which drawer the underwear or the shirts would go. So the children wouldn’t forget where things should be, have them attach pictures or words matching the contents of the drawers. For a fun experience, let them paint and draw the words themselves. Now that you’ve decided the places of things in the dresser, the next step is to teach them to sort clothes according to color. Help them group clothes with the same shade together. Ask them what their favorite clothes are and instruct them to be put on the top pile. Finally, remind your kids that used or soiled clothing should never be returned in the drawers.
